Services
In today’s world, there are three critical components you need to consider when choosing a provider for your power quality protection:
- First, is making sure your provider is able to fulfill your order, and complete your job because they have prepared, and gotten ahead of the supply chain delays, problems, and diminished inventory, and have products in stock so you can have immediate availability of them
- Second, is having the knowledge and expertise to ensure your products run at optimum capacity
- Third, is ensuring quick response times for corrective maintenance and immediate access to qualified professionals 24/7/365.
At Precision Power Services(PPS) we do all this…and more! Battery Maintenance Services
Why are batteries so important? – Batteries are the life blood of your Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS). More often than not, UPS disruptions can be attributed to a single dead battery. One dead battery is all it takes to bring down an entire system. PPS offers several battery Maintenance Service plans to help make certain you don’t have any battery failures. All battery maintenance services comply with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) guidelines for VRLA and Flooded batteries.
Battery Maintenance Services include:
- Emergency Repair
- Full Battery Replacements
- Battery Load Testing
- Annual Maintenance
- Semi-annual Maintenance
- Quarterly Maintenance
- Battery Removal
Thermal Imaging UPS Battery Testing
Sometimes a problem is so small it can be hard to detect, but with the use of a thermal imaging camera, our engineers can pinpoint exactly where the hot spots are without intrusive testing that may be on a live system. Thermal Imaging testing allows us to collect thermal images, and shows any connection defects, the status of airflow, and can serve as an early warning indicator for insufficient cooling or any high impedance connections. Adding thermal imaging testing to your Battery Maintenance Service agreement is not only cost effective, but will reduces the risk of thermal run away.
UPS Load Bank Testing
Load bank testing validates the correct operational performance and battery autonomy of the UPS system. It tests the UPS and generator under load conditions. It is most often carried out during preventative maintenance. As a UPS battery set is only as strong as its weakest battery cell, load bank testing can also be used to ascertain the condition of UPS batteries and battery sets (or ‘strings’ as they are also known) to indicate if any individual cells are approaching the end of their working life and not holding a charge or about to fail. This enables them to be replaced in advance of critical application.
